About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I checked into the A & E department at 5. 00 pm complaining of chest pains (mild). Within 10 minutes I was in a bed connected to medical equipment and being examined by a doctor and nurses.

To cut a long story short I had no heart issues but remained overnight in the new facility.

I cannot praise the actions of all staff highly enough. They were attentive, courteous and above all professional in all they had to do.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

I am vey pleased that you do not have a heart condition and that your care was so good. 'Attentive, courteous and above all professional' is truly a lovely accolade to the staff. I will be very happy to pass this on to both A/E and the CDU teams for their attention. I am sure it will make their day as it did mine.
