I am shocked at the prevelance of what seems to be gang culture in an acute mental health ward, (Lavender Ward). It is supposed to be a pace to get better not worse. There is only 1 exercise bike that is Brocken, physical exercise is needed to maintain good mental health instead everyone seems to be smoking leading to further poor mental and pyshical health.
I sincerely appreciate the staff trying to help and respect their efforts to help people with poor mental health, however the the way patients are placed into wards must be reviewed.
I understand the concept of Respect but relationships are very hard in mental health wards.
