My son was referred to Hereford County as an emergency via his doctor’s surgery with a suspected appendicitis on Tuesday evening. The Junior Doctor’s strike was just coming to an end and I was worried.
I needn’t have.
I am writing to say that the care and treatment that my son received from every single member of staff that night was exemplary. From the minute we checked in via A&E, through triage, into exam, then anaesthetic, theatre, recovery and ward, I cannot find fault with a single action, word or deed. It was magnificent care and treatment.
As a worried mum, I was kept informed, wasn’t patronised and felt as if the staff were really concerned about my experience too, even though I wasn’t the patient. It was all so superb. I really felt that everybody went ‘above and beyond’ to the point where I just had to write.
Is it possible that you could thank everybody involved in my son’s care? Or publish this in an email to them all? I would be so very grateful if you could do that because these brilliant people need to know how much they are appreciated and what amazing work they do.
"Amazing treatment & care! Wow!"
