So I made the hardest decision of my life not to keep my baby. I was told that Marie Stopes was the best place to go. On the day I arrived for my procedure I wasn't greeted with a warm welcome, I was left outside ringing the bell for 10minutes, I wasn't seen on time and I was left to do it on my own.
I was called in by a nurse who was then dealing with my treatment. I walked into the room, there was a dirty bloody cotton ball on the floor from the previous patient, the nurse didn't wear gloves dealing with my blood or touching my tablets. They asked me to do an Ultrasound just to prove I was pregnant, they wouldn't let me see my scan they kept hiding it nor did they offer to let me see it.
I started crying and they so abruptly said "why are you crying", then they went onto say "don't worry its only a mistake". Firstly I have the right to cry, it its the most difficult decision I have made, secondly do not tell me my baby was a mistake, because it wasn't. It was just wasn't the right time. Then they asked me again with such a rude tone "why are you crying again".
I wanted my partner to come into the room with me for everything because it was a joint decision and he wasn't aloud to be apart of any of it. I kept being to "no only yourself can come into the room". which to me isn't fair as he needed to be involved as much as I did.
For the situation I was in, you need someone that will be so sympathetic and soothing towards you but they were just so horrible I couldn't cope.
"Disgusting"
