"Visit to the Emergency Dept."

About: New Cross Hospital

Wednesday 4th May I visited the Emergency Department of the New Cross Hospital for the very first time.

I had been told to go there with a suspected Heart attack by my own GP.

I have to say l was very impressed from the car park to being discharged.

Directions on how to find the Emergency Department were very easy to understand. On arrival at the reception of emergency the three people on there were friendly, efficient and helpful.

I was told what to do and after what seemed a few moments l was called in to be assessed.

I had an E.C.G. blood test and x ray.

I can only say the doctor who attended me was so kind and professional, they treated me as a human person, they made me feel calm and l had complete faith and trust that they were going to do their very best for me.

I came away feeling content that they had all done there job to the absolute best of there capabilities.

I had been treated well and kept informed all the while l was there what was happening next.

The facilities where first class from coffee shop, toilets, waiting rooms etc.

With all the bad press N.H.S. get fro the T.V. etc. l thought it was only fair that l should comment on my first class experience l had at the New Cross Hospital. Would like to thank all the staff of the Emergency Department for making my visit everything a hospital visit should be as its not a place that we look forward to ever visiting but when you do and you are treated as well as l was then all is good with my World Thanks you to all emergency staff.
