About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

My 12 yr old son recently visited A&E at George Eliot hospital we found the nursing staff to be quite uncaring and indeed we were left in a cubicle for 2 hours and my once checked upon. The auxiliary was the only member of staff to show some kindness. The hospital was clean and we had no concerns regarding this.

The physio department were lovely and ensured he was comfortable and understood all that was happening.

Thank you for your comments which wil be shared with the staff in the departments you mention.

I am sorry that you found nursing staff to be uncaring. I am sure that you were concerned for your son and at such times feeling supported can be as important as treatment. If you would like to give further detail so that we can talk to the staff who were on duty please email 'pals@geh.nhs.uk' and mark it for the attention of the Patient Experience Manager.

I hope that your son is now fully recovered from his experience.

Regards

Christine Longstaff on behalf of the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust
