From the moment my husband was admitted to the Cardiac Unit with a suspected recent heart attack to his discharge three weeks later, i have nothing but praise for the treatment he received. After the results of an angiogram it was established that he would need a triple heart bypass. All the pre-operation procedures were explained to him and he was able to ask any questions or concerns. I must first of all express my sincere thanks to the marvellous surgeon and his team who performed the operation. Also the staff in the ICU where he had to spend four days post operation. Their care and commitment is second to none! Pre- and post-operation he was taken care of by all the marvellous staff on Ward 38. Also my sincere thanks to them all.
Previous the his 3 week stay in the Cardiac Unit, my husband (65 years old) had only ever been inside Blackpool Victoria Hospital to visit, so you can imagine the shock for us both. In these days when people are quick to find fault with the NHS I have nothing but praise for them!
"Absolutely marvellous,"
