"A & E visit"

About: Grantham & District Hospital

Unfortunately had to visit A & E with my partner on Sunday 24th April at approximately 10.30am.

The receptionist who booked us in was surly, unfriendly and disinterested.

They made no eye contact with my partner when talking to him and basically behaved as though they hated their job. We both felt that as the first point of contact, the behaviour of this receptionist let the whole team down; the triage nurse, doctor, porter and radiologist were all friendly, professional, kind and efficient.

Perhaps a little customer service training is needed ...or a change of reception staff.

Dear LW,

I am so sorry this has happened. I will look into which receptionist this is. I feel this one person has let us all down.

Attending A&E is a stressful time and a welcoming, friendly face at the beginning is the least you should expect.

Please be assured I will address this issue.
