"Amazing staff on clinics but rubbish phone system"

I have visited the hospital on many occasions for both myself and my children. The staff are amazing and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and they will go out of their way to help you. Trying to phone the hospital is another matter. As an example, this morning I phoned 4 times and was cut off for 3 of these. On the 4th occasion, the staff were helpful but it was the wrong department so I had to wait for a call back to confirm the information I needed. It would appear IT systems don't interact with each other and some staff really don't know how to use the phone system. THis is a massive shame as the person-centred approach of the staff and the outcomes are usually amazing and I always come away feeling like I have had answers and treatment I need.
