"registering me in at the reception ..."

About: Ealing Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

registering me in at the reception was smooth and the nurse at the triage was okay. wheel chair was provided initially.

What could be improved

I had a ligament injury, swelling, pain and had a history of ACL reconstruction. I was barely able to walk and limping due to pain. The nurse/doctor examined the xray and found no bone injuries. only if I had bone injuries, they said they can refer me to orthopedician immediately. Eventhough, there was a subsistent swelling, pain and difficulty in walking ,I was NOT given any medicines, support like crutches or knee pad/splint. About the cleanliness, the nurse/doctor did not spread the tissue fully (spread only to cover my hip to feet ) on the examination bed. it was only spread half the bed , I had requested they spread the tissue properly. The attitude of the nurse/doctor who examined me was not good. They came after a long break and then rushed thru the xray and hastily uttered few things about the treatment which I did not follow very well. Wheel chair assistance was NOT provided till the end. I was asked to open the door (minor injuries) and walk by myself without any help. I had request someone to help open the door and limped to the exit.
