"Impressed with my short stay on Ward 17 at Scunthorpe"

I very recently had to stay on ward 17 at Scunthorpe General Hospital for a couple of days and I must say I was very impressed with the care received. There is a very efficient but relaxed atmosphere on this ward. The elderly appeared to be being dealt with promptly and with respect (and an injection of humour enjoyed on both sides!).

I personally found the staff of both doctors and nurses very amenable and their work appeared to be carried out with enthusiasm. If I needed something I felt it was fine to ask and they promptly obliged. I even felt a bit cheered up by some of the nurses because worrying in silence is not good for anyone...I needed a joke or two!

The ward was also very clean and I noticed a lot of hand antibacterial was being used. Its a big issue these days and often a big patient fear so it was good to see.

Thanks ward 17 staff for making me feel comfortable during my stay.
