Dead on time a delightful gentle lady arrived to assess me after my discharge from hospital last December following a stroke. As I am a sole carer she was particularly interested in the arrangements in the house for our health and safety and asked lots of questions, but never in an intrusive way. Also left me with loads of information about what was due to us both, most of which I had not heard of or had been refused.

Also checked my back for pressure sores and took my blood pressure. This result turned her into a different person altogether as it was dangerously high. Within minutes she had rung my doctor and got instructions from her regarding what should be done with me. I narrowly avoided being sent off to hospital, had my medications doubled and told to rest. The next day a district nurse rang me and told me when she would be arriving to check my BP. She too was dead on time and very nice. Luckily the BP has gone down, but I am now well and truly in the system and being monitored before a forthcoming thyroid operation.

Cannot thank them enough. A most professional and caring pair of nurses, who sadly are very overstretched.
