My husband was being treated by the Pain clinic for the past 5 years or so but, since the main consultant retired, he hasn't been so wanted to get back into the system. He has neuropathic pain from M.S. which is managed by a cocktail of drugs. The consultant we saw was extremely pleasant. They were new to us but had obviously looked through my husband's (massive) file and had some proposed treatments as an alternative to the drugs , which are heavy duty and not always managing the pain. We were satisfied that they were acting in my husband's best interests and that their proposals were potentially beneficial. We were very happy with our visit.
