I had surgery on a broken bone in my arm and was in a trauma ward from Friday evening until Monday morning. Patients were treated with both humour and respect and procedures were explained.
What impressed me most was the way staff from a range of countries all worked happily together and apparently enjoyed their work at the J.R.
As I missed my lunch in the ward while waiting for transport home, the staff in the transport suite went out of their way to get me a picnic lunch totake home with me as it was too early for them to send out for a hot meal.
