"Customer service could be better at North Durham hospital"

(as a relative),

My wife was admitted onto ward 3 recently. I telephoned the ward the next day for an update. This is how the conversation went.

Me: "Can you tell me how my wife is this morning?"

Nurse: "Hang on."

Nurse: "She says she's tired because she has had no sleep. But I've told her we're a busy ward and what does she expect?"

Me: "Can you tell me when she will see a doctor or consultant?"

Nurse: "When he does his rounds. He has lots of patients you know. He's a very busy man."

Me: "Thanks for that."

I hung up. My opinion of the customer service? Poor, really poor.
