Having to visit after our 17 year old daughter had a concerning episode of passing out. On arrival she was not well, was in a bit of a state and very embarrassed about the whole episode. Given it had not happened before, we were keen to have her checked out and pleased to be there, were more than content to wait our turn.
Our initial contact was with a sensitive and caring Receptionist who took our details and helped us settle and explained what happened next.
Quickly, we were seen by a triage nurse who was warm, reassuring and carried out their assessment in a skilled and professional way. We had further contact with another nurse, the Ward Manager, who was equally kind and carried out further checks with sensitivity and humour which further helped any awkwardness our daughter felt.
She was seen by a doctor who was also wonderful in their approach to our daughter; the doctor addressed her in a warm friendly way when they were assessing her.
The skill, experience and professionalism by each member of staff who had contact with our daughter was evident in every way.
She and we are extremely grateful for the help we had today with her and reassured, of course, there was nothing too wrong with her. Thank you very much.
"A very skilled, experienced & professional..."
