"Accident and Emergency department"

About: Good Hope Hospital

I was brought into the accident and emergency department by my husband with back pain. I would normally grin and bear it until I could get to the gp but as I am pregnant I didn't want it to get to the point where I'd need to be brought by ambulance like in the past. On arriving I found the department to be clean, tidy and well presented. From the receptionist to the Nurse and the Doctor who oversaw me everyone was kind, polite, treated me with compassion, respect and dignity. I would whole heartedly recommend this hospital to family and friends.

Dear Charlotte

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback following your recent attendance to the Accident and Emergency Department at Good Hope Hospital.

I'm sorry to learn that you had reason to attend but completely understand your concern during your pregnancy.

I'm so pleased to read that you found the deparment to be clean and tidy, and that all of the staff you encountered and treated you, did so with courtesy, professionalism, kindness and respect. The team in our Accident and Emergency Departments work extremely hard in often difficult circumstances to provide a positive patient experience.

Once again thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, it is extremely important to us.

I will ensure that your feedback is highlighted to Angela Birmingham, Matron for Emergency Services at Good Hope Hospital as well as to Dr Ola Erinfolami, Clinical Director for Emergency Services at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, who will be thrilled to read your feedback and ensure that it is communicated to all of the Emergency Team.

I do hope you are feeling better and my best wishes for your impending arrival!

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
