"Why is the RHH pain clinic moving to Northern General?"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Pain Management

(as the patient),

I went to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Pain Clinic Day Care for a steroid injection/cortorised nerves in my lower back. I was pleased that the staff were friendly and put one at ease.

RHH pain clinic is now closed. This means that all future visits are at NGH (Northern General Hospital). Why are all the services moving to the NGH? Sheffield has high population and both hospitals should keep their own specialties and functions on both sites.

I would like to thank the Pain Clinic nurse and Dr. P. Murray who keeps trying to control my pain.

RHH pain clinic was small and friendly. The staff treat the patient as an individual not a number. NGH are larger clinics and impersonal. I don't want to become a statistic. Why alter/merge the services when it works perfectly on individual sites?
