"Aberdeen children's hospital, surgical ward"

We have just returned from Aberdeen having been down to the Aberdeen children's hospital with our daughter and grandson. We were so impressed by the level of care that our grandson  received that we felt we should write about our experience. On receipt of the appointment my daughter had questions she wanted to ask so she called the ward, the staff were more then happy to help and were very reassuring.

On arrival at the ward the staff were very friendly and welcoming which was really nice. My daughter who had been very nervous about coming to the hospital was reassured by the atmosphere in the ward.

The staff in the ward were fantastic to say the least, everybody was so helpful and approachable. There was no feeling about being left in the dark about anything as everything was explained as we went along.

The consultants and their teams were excellent, again very friendly and reassuring.

My daughter felt that her feelings were just as important as the care for her son was which was lovely. We as a family have absolutely nothing negative to say about the whole experience of our grandson / sons treatment on the children's surgical ward. The ward and all its staff and the consultants and their team are indeed a credit to the health service. So a huge thankyou goes to you all from myself and my husband and our daughter and our grandson.
