I was rushed into hospital late on a Sunday night with an appendicitis and initially put on ward 10 ready for surgery the next day. After surgery a doctor came to see me to explain they were called in during surgery as I had a tubo ovarian abscess. On the Wednesday I was transferred to ward 23 and I'm so glad I was. All the nursing staff, clinical support workers & consultants were excellent. After becoming quite ill again I was prepared for surgery again and all the staff were excellent. A doctor took time to talk everything through with me. Once back from my second surgery of the week I was cared for by the most excellent team of nurses & csw's. I was on ward 23 for a total of 22 nights and although quite ill I was made to feel very well looked after. Ward 23 should be very proud of how they operate their ward!
"Very well looked after."
