"Thankful we didn't need an extra trip to Carlisle"

About: Penrith Hospital

(as a relative),

My 2 year old son had a mishap hugging his friend goodbye. They toppled over and he cut his top lip in the process. I popped him to the local A&E to have his cut checked out and we were called almost as soon as we sat down. The male nurse was friendly towards my son and managed to treat him despite small protestations. Turned out he just needed a couple of steristrips on the ward, we were thankful we didn't need an extra trip to Carlisle My son came home with a new teddy bear who has been named "Medibear" and my son had fun putting steristrips on his nose. More often than not we walk to the medical centre but on occasion we do drive and parking is invariably a problem.
