"Not examined by Rheumatologist"

About: Barnsley Hospital

I was referred to rheumatology by an orthopaedic consultant.

The rheuMatologist I saw (head of rheumatology) said they had seen the report of my shoulder MRI and I didn't have arthritis in my joint so "why was I there wasting their time?".

Turns out I have a blood clotting disorder that needs to be treated by a rheumatologist.

I found this out as one week after this appointment a neurologist took blood tests that showed this.

Unfortunately the neurologist then failed to repeat this blood test instead opting to test for something else.

My GP was concerned when the test was not done again by the neurologist so repeated the test six months after the original, this showed the blood clotting disorder.

I have since seen another Rheumatologist at a different hospital.
