"A doctor not knowing why I'd had an operation"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital / Gynaecology Chelsea & Westminster Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

My son was born prematurely and did not survive. The hospital thought it was because my cervix had collapsed. They advised I had a procedure to strengthen my cervix so that I could carry a future pregnancy. The day after the operation a doctor came in to check on me and asked me how far along my pregnancy was. I had to explain that I was not pregnant and why I was there.
