Following a stroke I lacked confidence speaking in groups. I was referred to the speech therapy group at Orpington hospital and weekly communication groups helped me to restore my confidence. The staff were understanding, caring and supportive throughout the treatment. As my partner was undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy at the time they even arranged transport for me
