"Thank you!"

We wanted to write to say thank you very much for the excellent care and support our family received.

We followed the midwife led path and our midwife was superb, they took the time to get to know us and looked after us during labour superbly.

When things went a little awry in the late stages (back to back) we had to go to theatre.

The theatre team and the consultant in particular were just amazing.

Technically, our midwife and other midwife friends have said what the consultant did was incredible and not something you'll see everyday, thank you!

The rest of the team were excellent and really helped keep the situation calm.

When we went through to ward 61 the fantastic care continued.

The midwives and assistants were superb and looked after us physically and emotionally.

When we were exhausted and to be honest feeling a little overwhelmed, the team were just fantastic and helped us through it.

Nothing was too much trouble despite the staffs amazing work rate and the fact they clearly needed a few more people to help!

Overall we have not a bad word to say about our time at the maternity unit.

We will always be eternally grateful for the care we received and helping bring our beautiful daughter into the world.
