I rang up the centre, clearly explaining my problem to the person who answered. They were clear that my problem could be treated through their emergency appointments, however that day I was too late to get an appointment, so I rang back the next day and got booked in for the following week.
Once I arrived I was welcomed by the receptionists and told where to go. After a 30 minute wait I was brought to see the dentist. I explained and displayed my problem Cleary to them, to which they replied "so why are you here then?" in a demeaning voice. I was then told they couldn’t do anything for me and asked to leave. Which led to a humiliating walk through the waiting area only minutes after being called in.
This was one of my first visits to a dentists in years, and it has severely discouraged me from calling for emergency treatment in the future. I expected the attitudes of the “Doctors” to be held to a higher professional standard. This was by far my worst experience in any Health centre of any kind and was a complete waste of time since they could have told me over the phone that they wouldnt treat me.
