"Car parking"

About: George Eliot Hospital - Acute Services

I attended an appointment in urology for 1440 on the 13/04/2016. I arrived at 1345 in your main car park and unable to find a space after 45 minutes I left my car blocking in other vehicles to attend my appointment. I registered with reception then returned to my car to find a space. By the time I returned to the clinic my appointment had gone so I was told the next appointment was in mid July which is 3 months away Unacceptable!.

If the parking situation is that bad you should ask your patients to attend by public transport

I am now left in considerable pain on pain killers constantly for the next 3 months because you can not arrange parking capacity for your patients.

Unfortunately car parking capacity is an ongoing but fluctulating issue.

I am sorry that on this occassion this difficulty led to you missing your appoinment.

If you would please contact the Patient Advice and Liaison service on (024) 7686 5550 or email PALS@geh.nhs.uk with your hospital number or date of birth th situation can be looked into.

Regards Christine Longstaff on behalf of the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust
