"Dissapointed with care in Urogynae Outpatients"

About: Kingston Hospital

This morning i had an outpatients appt in this dept - the receptionist and Dr were both very pleasent - however the nurse who dealt with me quite obviously needs to improve their patient interaction skills.

When they called me through they did not introduce their self either by name or position and they were wearing mismatching scrubs with their own top underneath ( an extemely unproffessional look) the uniform gave no clue as to who they may be .

I had to have a bladder scan and exam and they did not provide me with a modesty sheet - this shows no care or gives me as a patient any control over my dignity

when i left the consultation they were totally unaware of the procedures surrounding blood tests and sending urine off for cultire. In fact even though this is a Urogynae Clinic and my urine had tested Pos for a UTI they saw fit to throw the sample away. The Dr wanted it to be sent for C & S .

All in all a very dissapointing experiance at a hospital that i regulaly champion to the wider community

Thank you for your feedback, really sorry to hear about your experience at the hospital. I have passed your comments onto the Gynaecology team.
