"Gastroenterology appointment"

I have a severe liver condition, currently under the wing of Jimmy's Hospital in Leeds, despite living in Huddersfield. During a stay at the HRi, a Consultant identified what condition I had (H.E,). They were very happy to be in a position to tell me and took the time necessary to explain the condition and answer any questions.

To my very pleasant surprise, it was this Consultant who I spent time with from Gastroenterology.

Unlike a previous Dr I had seen a few times before, this one was:

Very Welcoming.

Clearly very happy for me in terms of my current condition.

Excellent bedside manner.

Just enough "hands on" to form their opinion (I was amazed this had not been the case with previous doctor, and......

My goodness what a memory. They remembered my ward number and bed room number and the fact that we chatted about the USA, where they had been and where I had spent 25 years of my like.
