I was taken to the Cardiac Care unit by ambulance with a heart beating at 244 bpm. The admission team worked hard to change this and were relieved when my heart suddenly reverted to 70 bpm. The hospital worked hard to flush out the cause and treatment for this alarming condition. The treatment that I received from the nurses, ancilliary staff and the medics was absolutely superb. It would be good to recommend the hospital to anyone having a heart attack but the reality is that when we get struck down you go where you are taken. I count myself so lucky that it was the Royal Berkshire that I was taken to.
"My unexpected 9 day stay."
