"Terrible service"

About: The Podiatry Centre

I called this surgery this morning regarding having my toenails trimmed. The receptionist advised me to come in today anytime between 1.30pm and 4.30pm to have my procedure done. So I called a cab and went to the surgery for 1.30pm. Once I arrived the receptionist said they could no longer see me and I need to come another day. I explained my situation but they did not care and still refused to see me despite advising me to come in today. Not only did I waste cab fare and time, I am a diabetic and have undergone triple heart bypass and currently my asthma is severe, the journey and stress whilst there has had a horrible impact on me. Terrible service.

Thank you for taking the time to share you feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you were not able to see a member of staff yesterday afternoon even though a colleague had advised that this would be possible if you arrived between the hours of 1.30pm-4.30pm. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience and additional stress that this has caused you. If you would like to contact out PALS Team they can liaise with the department so that we can arrange an appointment for you. Our PALS (patient advice and liaison service) team can be contacted by telephone 020 7188 8801 or email pals@gstt.nhs.uk
