"experience has been helpful"

About: Broadmoor Hospital

(as the patient),

Sometimes especially at the beginning the staff were creating very frustrating situations but mostly the experience has been helpful but occasionally feel that staff abuse their position and you could easily get lost in the negative side of things but there is some good. Basically since being here I’ve done somethings that were out of character but as time goes by I have learned to be hopeful and forgive myself

Many thanks for your posting. I am really sorry to hear that you found your initial experience frustrating. We are currently working with both patients and staff on the admission wards to try and ensure that patients admitted to the hospital have a smooth and compassionate transition to the hospital at what can be such a distressing time. I am glad that you found that in the main the experience has been helpful. There are number of ways we can learn from both negative and positive experiences and I’m more than happy to discuss how you can become involved.
