"fantastic!"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

Can not fault the care in received!

Community midwives were fab, my first went back to the hospital When I was half way through my pregnancy which I was gutted about as I got on really well with them, their replacement was equally as lovely, the midwives in clinic at the hospital couldn't do enough for me especially when a problem was picked up with my baby on a routine growth scan! I was well informed the whole way through and a plan was made to induce me at 41 weeks due to baby's potential health issue and as he was large!

On the day I was due to be induced, there were no beds so instead I was sent for monitoring and asked to return the next day for a scan on my placenta to check it was still okay and that baby was happy, at my scan the day after, baby's potential health issue had resolved itself! I was rung that night and went in to be induced, the midwife that admitted me remembered me from my first baby which was lovely as it had been 2 and a half years since id seen them! I was induced the following morning and was contracting within a few hours, this continued overnight and by the next morning (18.02.16) I had dilated enough to have my waters broken, the doctor broke them and I was taken to the delivery room, the midwife was absolutely amazing, they took time to get to know us and reassured us that this birth would be different to my first which was quite traumatic, which it was! I had another post partum haemorrhage which was sorted by a fantastic team of midwives and doctors who were there in seconds! The care i received was absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for anything better! The midwives on m1 were brilliant and very patient with me overnight when I was needing support with breast feeding my baby and were friendly and encouraging towards me, we were allowed home the day after my baby was born (late on, at 9pm but I was just glad to be going home as I'd been in hospital since Tuesday evening!)

A huge thank you to the midwives and support workers on delivery suite and m1!
