"wonderful caring staff"

About: King's Mill Hospital

Hello, 10 years ago my wife was diagnosed with vulval cancer, we saw a specialist nurse who then sent us to Nottingham City Hospital for the operation.

This was a success and check ups at both Kingsmill and Notts City followed for the next couple of years. 3 years ago following a routine check the cancer had returned , a amajor op was done at City, but was unsuccessful, a further operation was done at kingsmill to save her life following a rupture of her bowel. On August1 15 she was admitted to ward 31 at Kingsmill and the staff ,docs, nurses, auxilarys , cleaners, chaplains , everyone were so caring wonderful loving people who went above and beyond their duty to help juliette and myself everyday. These are truly remarkable individuals who took caring to a whole new level. Without our brilliant NHS my wife would have died many years before she did, These people who look after our ill are the real stars of life not the celebrities we see on tv.

i would also like to thank The Cancer teams of Nottingham city, loxley ward at Notts City, Our own doctors, community health workers, and to the nuses who came to our hospital wedding organised by the chaplain at Kingsmill and especially to the nurses held hand , hugged and cried with us after we were told the cancer was terminal. Thanks to all of you
