My children has been in and out of the hospital for 16 years. When my daughter was waking up with blood on her sheets because of her eczema, the doctors and nurses would help me try new ways to help calm her skin they have nurses that came round to your home to see what changes could be done to help ie wet wrapping they have a connection to the school to speak to welfare officer about creaming the children at school to stop the skin drying out. When my son was 3 months old he reacted to my friends perfume he got tested early to see what allergies he had. He has anaphylaxis, eczema, asthma, hayfever, enlarged adenoids and allergies to many food and some air borne. The team in the hospital is always friendly they make you feel like family. They remember my son always talk to him to stop him worrying about the treatment he'll be doing when he did the nut challenge it took all day but they made him comfortable for a 4 year old to be in hospital all day is a huge challenge in its self they had lots of other children to deal with that day but they still kept him happy and at ease. He's now 9 and when he walks into hospital he's happy to watch the dvd or play on the wii or the toys they have. Thank you Hillingdon Hospital staff
