"Mixed experience of walk-in x-ray service"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

I attended the x ray department about a fortnight ago following a shoulder problem and am still waiting for my results. I have had to ask the surgery to chase up (twice) and still do not have the results. I'm disappointed with this as I have been in quite a lot of pain and unable to sleep. The staff are great in this unit, the facilities also good and very clean, but the results not delivered quickly enough for a leading hospital. If I had a similar problem, I might consider going through a different route.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent experience when attending the Imaging Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. We are pleased to hear that your experience whilst attending the department was very positive. However, we are very sorry to hear that you have experienced a delay in receiving your results and understand how frustrating this must be for you. The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) will be able to look into this on your behalf if you would like them to?

PALS can be contacted by phone 0121 371 3280, by email PALS@uhb.nhs.uk, via the hospital website www.uhb.nhs.uk/pals-form or in person by dropping in between 9am – 5pm (Mon-Fri) to the PALS office located near the Information Desk in the main entrance of the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham
