"Some of the staff were helpful ..."

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

(as a relative),

What I liked

Some of the staff were helpful and courtious

What could be improved

Communication. There was a general lack of information about my mums diagnosis, progress and treatment.

The doctor we saw was rude and offered no privacy on the one occasion we managed to speak to them!

Visitor parking and visiting times could be greatly improved. The queues to get in and the queues to pay are dreadful.

Anything else?

Its a shame that the personal touch seems to have gone. Larger hospitals feel like a conveyor belt with next please!
