Yesterday I had my operation to put 6 stents into 2 arteries, for some a scary thought, but due to the excellent care and attention from all the staff, nurses, surgeons, cleaners etc it was a very relaxing time.

The staff in the coronary care and cath care ward are second to none, very helpful, very friendly, nothing is any trouble for them, and patient care is clearly their No. 1 concern.

The operation was virtually painless, the surgeons and operating staff kept me updated and feeling relaxed throughout the operation, then the ward nurses took over and looked after me superbly, bringing me coffee, meals, cleaning up my mess etc, service you would expect in a 5 star hotel, genuinely impressed by all in the cardiology dept, every single member of the team deserves praise.

My angel nurse Nicola once again was a credit to the nursing profession, dedication and patient care is outstanding, she really is an angel, and I wish her good luck with her pregnancy.

I am home now, happy the operation went perfect, painless and with amazing care from all, please don't be offended though if I'm happy never to see the cardiology dept again......new outlook, new life, new beginnings.

I note that you had previously provided us with feedback around an earlier episode of care as well. I'm delighted that you had such a positive experience. I've been working with CCU over the past few months and I'm pleased to say that there are many people like yourself who are telling us they've received excellent clinical and professional care from all staff.
