I had my left knee replaced at Barlborough Clinic ten days ago, it was my first time in a hospital and I am 79 years old, nervous and not knowing what to expect - (My choice of not knowing, I just did not want anyone to go into any detail!).
Barlborough was the choice of my Wife five or six years ago for the same procedure.
I cannot in any way fault anything about Barlborough the clinic itself, all the staff from receptionists to surgeons I found were 100% perfect.
I would suggest and recommend that
Barlborough should be used as the best example of the NHS.
Quite a large number of hospitals, all departments, fail the patients in some way and if only the managements of NHS treatment centres could take a leaf from The Barlborough Book then they could also be able to give 5 star treatment, if they came part way it would be a general improvement.
Well done Barlborough, keep up your standards and let others learn from you.
Best Wishes,
Tony A.
