"trauma team A&E"

About: St Peter's Hospital (Chertsey)

I was taken to A&E as a result of a fall down stairs . I was met by the trauma team who immediately set to work to ensure that I had no major injuries. They introduced themselves to me and explained at each step what they were doing to me. They were courteous and kind and extremely proficient. Within minutes of my assessment I was taken for a ct scan and then to Xray. My husband was also well looked after and given tea and information while he waited.Within a few hours with no broken bones I was able to go home. I cannot fault anyone within the team from nurse to radiographer to Dr .I noticed that the cleaners were cleaning whilst I was there and I was also given a sandwich to eat at lunch time. I am a nurse of many years and this was the first time I had been in A&E as a patient.I cannot fault the care given it was absolutely fantastic.

Dear Sonia

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback about our A&E team, which we have passed onto them. It is great that you felt so well looked after and lovely to hear you describe the team as courteous and kind. We are pleased that you were seen and assessed so quickly and that you were thankfully ok and able to go home. Many thanks again for your kind words.
