"Urgent care clinic"

About: York Hospital

I was very unlucky to have to visit this clinic a few months ago and I had to wait hours , my husband had a rusty nail through his foot this evening he went at 6pm and it is now 10.15pm and he has still not been seen , the nail that imbedded his foot was quite likely to have rats urine on , so by now it is quite likely that his foot is infected . This is not acceptable , it is unfair to have unwell adults and children having to wait hours to be seen by a clinician when they do not choose to be there, they are unwell and in pain.we are not a poor country so why does this service seem to be so poor ? . This is something that needs to be dealt with urgently and to start treating patients like patients ' with dignity and respect, because if you are making people wait hours to be seen that is clearly not dignified and it is not respectfull .
