I was called back to the breast clinic after a mammogram.
Being called back is always a worry despite the reassurance in the 'call back' letter.
From the outset I was treated with kindness and compassion.
The magnified mammogram .....brilliant explanations of what would happen and when.
The ultrasound scan - my concerns and worries were listenened to.
Then further information from another member of staff who really got a grilling from me. I bombarded them with questions.....all answered in a very professional(but kind) manner.
I was told I needed a biopsy. I needed time to think about this and it was given.
I was told that my situation would be discussed by the multidisciplinary team, that the Breast Care Nurse would get in touch to give me information.
This happened promptly and I opted for a vacuum assisted biopsy.
This was done on 14:3:16.
The staff took excellent care of me.
Gave me written and verbal advice and information.
I could not have had better care if I had been Royalty.
Many thanks to all the team......and to the Chief Executive of the trust.....you should be very very proud of the work these people do.
"Superb service"
