"Phone Manners"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

When I rang to enquire about an appointment i had the misfortune to speak to a very abrupt, and I felt they came across a little bit rude person. I only rang to make a general enquiry and initially they seemed very irate and did not seem to want to listen to what I had to say. I work in health care myself it does not much to have a pleasant manner when speaking to people. They did seem to calm down a little as the conversation went on however for a first impression it was not good and I was very tempted to put the phone down on them.

Still have no appointment!

Dear Reviewer,

We are sorry to hear about your recent experience in calling Leicester Royal Infirmary. Can you please confirm whether it was our main switchboard or the oral and maxillofacial surgery team you spoke to? If you can email this, along with your details (name, NHS number) to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk then we can look into this for you along with details regarding any appointment.

Kind regards,

Communications Team,

Leicester’s Hospitals
