"School Nurse Team - Termination of Services"

We have today learnt that the very valuable School Nurse Team will cease in the near future. This service is invaluable to schools - our dedicated school nurses are at the end of the phone for support and guidance for both parents and the school. We have developed strong links with the team and the loss of this service would have a great effect on our children. Our School Nurse Team assist with individual care plans for children with specific medical needs, staff training to ensure we are familiar with and able to effectively store and use inhalers and Epipens, hold Puberty talks for our year 6 children as well as general medical support throughout the academic year. The loss of this valuable service will have a negative effect on the well-being of our pupils.
