"The nurses were kind and attentive."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as the patient),

What I liked

The nurses were kind and attentive.

What could be improved

I was told that I could have been admitted into the hospital and then have a ultrasound the next day or Monday, but they may not have a bed and then I would have to be seen by the surgeon on calls boss who would assess me to see if I needed to be transfered to Lister in Stevenage. I then was told if I went home I would have to wait 3 weeks for an ultrasound. I was in pain but not agony and they painkillers I was given I could have on prescription. I am now at home and still unwell and do not know what to do next. I have been to the doctors 4 times in 2 weeks and hospital three times and I have discharged with 'unspecific abdo pain'.

What we would ask you to do is to provide us with the following information - your full name, address (including postal code), date of birth and hospital number (if you know it) and send this to the following e-mail address - generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net. It would also be helpful to provide a brief description of who you have seen and when.

Once we have this information, we can then take up your case with our clinical colleagues to see what's happening and what you should be doing next - or what we could be doing to help you more. We hope that you get in touch.
