"I had an operation in this hospital, ..."

About: Alder Hey Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had an operation in this hospital, then spent two weeks in there. The nurses were lovely on my ward. They sat with me, spoke with me and sometimes even had a minute to play with me. I couldnt fault them at all. They had a teacher that came round once or twice a week to keep our education up which was good.(werent at the time, thought i had a break from school)

What could be improved

The student nurses. They treat you as if your a grade to them rather than a patient. I was pretty worried each time one came over to me as i didnt like the idea of someone with no experience treating me. I know they say how else are they going to learn. But patients are not test dummies. I think they need more stuff for the older patients to keep them from being bored
