"the fact that I was treated with ..."

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

the fact that I was treated with dignity and respect. The nursing staff were so busy and yet so willing! Night staff made me cups of tea when I couldn't sleep and chatted with me! Theatre staff were reassuring and friendly. Overall, a really positive experience

What could be improved

Unfortunately, it was a surgeon who had to be reminded by a nurse, that outdoor coats are not acceptable when they are about to examine a patient! He also had to be reminded to roll his sleeves above his elbow and wash his hands! I think that the nurses have got the cleanliness message but work needs to be done on the doctors attitudes to cleanliness

Anything else?

Despite great efforts, and I really did appreciate the food.....but it's still hospital quality and on a par with school dinners! Sorry! Overall, and taking my points into account, my stay at Chorley Hospital was a positive experience
