A huge thankyou to all the staff in wards 8, 9 and 10 at UHND, the community midwives and heslth visitors. The care and attention received before, during and after having my wonderful little boy has been outstanding. Thanks my health visitor for visiting antenatal and reassuring me and preparing me for baby number 2.
Thank you to staff in wards 8, 9 and 10 at UHND, the community midwives. There were times when we were being seen and staff had worked long shifts with no break, they had not had lunch and some had not even had time to go to the toilet.(known only because we overheard staff telling each other to take their break whilst going from one patient to another) we also mentioned it seemed very busy on a number of occasions and staff were always very apologetic if we had had to wait a while (which we didnt mind as we were happy to recieve good care that wasnt rushed)
When i was in labor they were 2 members of staff short that shift and lots and lots of buzzers and emergencies could be heard up and down the ward all night. Yet staff still made every effort to check i was ok and baby was ok. Ive had to return to postnatal ward for checks due to blurry vision and again staff were so busy and the wards so full. Again staff apollogised for how long we waited. Even went above and beyond and brought my post natal notes to my home at 9pm after a very long shift, as i had left without them and needed them the next day for my day 5 midwife visit. I love our NHS and cant thank the staff enough for what they do.
"Before birth and beyond. Excellent care."
