The member of staff doing blood tests yesterday morning around 10am on their own, was brutal and I have a lot of bruising totally unnecessary as I have blood tests all the time never seen anything like it. Also as this member of staff was alone, we had to wait an hour. Ridiculous

We are really sorry to hear of your experience with our blood test service. Firstly that you had to wait for such a long time; we try to see patients as quickly as possible but some days and times are particularly busy. Whilst we endeavour to have more than one phlebotomist available, we need to balance providing a service for outpatients with that for inpatients on our wards.
We are naturally concerned to hear about your experience of the actual blood test. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further and identify the member of staff involved. If you would like to do so can you please contact the Phlebotomy Manager directly by calling the Trust switchboard on 01932 872000 and asking them to page 8109.
