"Urology. Cystoscopy"

About: Rochdale Infirmary

This was my first cystoscopy and I was nervous. I knew of the procedure but not knowing the hospital and the fact there was a snow storm did nothing to help my blood pressure. All staff were very pleasant and went through the whole episode with me even to what may occur after.

My husband was allowed in for the initial consultation and was able to put his mind at rest. The consultant joked with me when I asked could I follow the camera then they could talk me through it but they said they had not paid the TV licence!

I would never be frightened again to have another the two nursing staff in the room where brilliant chatting away to take my mind of the cystoscopy.

I was in the profession for 40 odd years and it was refreshing to be treated with respect just like the old days.

Thank you Rochdale.
